Totality begins at 10:46:51 and ends at 10:50:08 (Spanish mainland time, CEST). Maximum eclipse is at 10:48:29, with the sun 39° above the horizon. The partial phases run from 09:41 to 12:01.
Marbella is inside the path of totality with 3 minutes 17 seconds on 2 August 2027. For a town with this much accommodation, that is a good number. It is not the best on the coast, Estepona and everything west of it does better, but it is far ahead of Málaga, which scrapes 1 minute 50 seconds.
The northern limit of the path passes through the mountains just inland. Puerto Banús, San Pedro de Alcántara and the whole coastal strip are safely inside. Head north over the Sierra Blanca towards Ojen and Coin and the totality shortens fast, then vanishes.

The main town beach, with the promenade running east to west behind it. It is straightforward, central and has everything you need within a few metres. It will also be extremely busy.
East of the town, Cabopino has a protected dune system and a much more natural stretch of coast than central Marbella. A better bet if you want space around you.
In the centre, these give you shade through the partial phases and open sky at the eclipse itself.
The mountain behind Marbella rises to 1,215 metres. The Juanar refuge road above Ojen is a popular way up. Check the map carefully first: parts of the higher ground north of the ridge fall outside the path, and losing totality to gain a view would be a poor trade.
The northern limit of the path is close by. Ronda, an hour inland, is down to 1 minute 18 seconds, and Antequera has no totality at all. On this coast, if you move, move west and south. Check any spot on the interactive map before you commit to it.

Plane: Málaga airport is about 45 minutes east and is the main gateway for this coast.
Car: the AP-7 toll road is much faster than the free A-7 coast road, and on eclipse morning that difference will be large.
Bus: frequent coaches from Málaga airport and along the coast. There is no train to Marbella.
Accommodation: Marbella, Puerto Banús and San Pedro have very large capacity, all of it inside the path. This is the easiest place in Spain to sleep inside totality without booking two years ahead, though it is not the cheapest.
